The Super Bowl is coming up and there’s no doubt that people are excited about the game. NBC is going to offer Super Bowl XLIX free streaming for those who would rather watch the game over the internet. Its actually going to stream an 11-hour block of programming for free and the idea is to get eyeballs for NBC’s TV Everywhere services. The NBC Super Stream Sunday event will include NBC’s presentation of the Super Bowl XLIX and for the first time ever the Halftime Show will be streamed live for free as well.
The Super Bowl XLIX free streaming will start at 12pm ET on February 1st and will continue until 10pm ET. It will feature NBC’s live coverage of the game from Arizona as the Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots. The halftime show, headlined by Katy Perry, will be part of the live stream as well.
It doesn’t end there. The Super Stream Sunday event will end with an airing of a new episode of the popular drama The Blacklist, it will be streamed for free too.
Since Verizon Wireless has exclusive rights to live-streaming on smartphones NBC’s stream will only be accessible using desktops and tablets, not smartphones, fans in the U.S. will be able to access it through NFL.com and SuperBowl.com.
