Spotify’s Windows Phone hasn’t seen a lot of love until now but that changes today. The music streaming service, which recently announced that it has over 60 million users out of which 15 million pay for its premium service, today released an update for its Windows Phone application that brings a whole new look and feel to the app as well as some new features that can already be found on its counterparts for iOS and Android.
Users will immediately notice a new theme that’s darker and peppered with refreshed typography and rounded iconography. The content comes front and center with this dark theme and refined interface, its pops out, says Spotify “just like in a cinema when you dim the lights.”
Spotify for Windows Phone finally gets the Your Music feature so users now have more ways of managing their music. Users can save albums and browse through cover art, create playlists, and easily add songs or albums to their collections by tapping on the save button.
The updated Browse feature has also been added to this app which basically brings more localized and relevant content. Starting today the Spotify for Windows Phone app is rolling out. It is a free download and available from the Windows Phone Store.
