The Sony Xperia Z4 can be said to be a modern day unicorn – a mythical handset that has yet to see its existence confirmed, although there has been fleeting whispers of it around, such as having been shown off in secret at the recently concluded CES. How about rumors of the Xperia Z4 arriving in two models – one with a FHD display, while the other has a QHD screen? Well, there are also rumors flying around concerning an Xperia Z4 Walkman, so what are we to make of all those when nothing official from Sony has been released yet? Well, it seems that the Xperia Z4 has been certified by a Japanese wireless authority – which means it ought to be a matter of time before an official release of the smartphone happens.
In fact, the Xperia Z4 has been certified in Japan in three versions – NTT DoCoMo, KDDI and SoftBank, and all of them will boast of LTE support, VoLTE included, which happens to be the new generation in voice call technology that is slowly but surely gaining traction among carriers. Oh yeah, the usual Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac will also be supported.
Well, between now and an official release date, do expect additional rumors to make their way to the news vines. Could the Xperia Z4 be the start of a new beginning for Sony?
