Previously we had reported that the Sony Xperia Z4 had received its certification in Japan, and now according to reports it seems that the Xperia Z4 has also made its way to the FCC in the US. Given that the phone will need to be certified and approved by the FCC before it is allowed to go on sale in the US, it looks like its arrival at the FCC should have the phone ready in time for an MWC announcement.
The FCC filing does not specifically mention the Xperia Z4, but like we said the timing of the handset’s arrival at the FCC and with MWC taking place soon, there is a good chance we could be talking about the same device. The FCC filing does not reveal much except that it will support LTE bands 2, 5, and 7.
Other rumored specs of the Xperia Z4 includes a 5.2-inch QHD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, a 20.7MP camera with optical image stabilization, water resistance, and a 3,400mAh battery.
