Sharp Aquos K Flip Phone Hits Japan

Sharp has not exactly been all that active over in the US where new smartphones releases are concerned, but this does not mean that they have neglected their home market over in Japan. No sir, Sharp is pretty much alive and kicking in the Land of the Rising Sun, and their latest handset to be announced would be the Sharp Aquos K SHF-31, where this particular flip phone comes with its fair share of decent hardware specifications, clearly making this a mid-range handset if it were to make its way across the Pacific.

For instance, the Aquos K SHF-31 would feature auto HDR which is a boon for those who love to record video using their handset, LTE connectivity to ensure that you end up with the fastest Internet connection possible whenever you are within vicinity of a LTE network, a touch-sensitive trackpad (making it feel to be more of a mouse) and a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, among others.

Ah yes, to ensure that the Aquos K SHF-31 will keep up with the times, it is also waterproof – although you would be unable to bring this with you on your dives, but extremely shallow snorkeling ought to be all right. One does wonder, however, will the flip phone form factor ever make a major comeback?
