[CES 2015] Smart light bulbs aren’t anything new. In fact companies like Philips has had them for a while now. For those who are wondering what these bulbs do, they’re basically like regular bulbs, except that they can be controlled via your smartphone. This allows the bulbs to be adjusted and controlled remotely.
In some cases, these bulbs can also be controlled to display different colored lights for different moods. Well at CES 2015, Sengled has unveiled a handful of new smart LED bulbs. This comes in the form of the Pulse, Pulse Solo, Boost, and the Snap. Starting with the Pulse and Pulse Solo, these are bulbs with speakers built into them.
The Pulse will be available in a variety of different colors and is sized at 1.75-inches, while the Pulse Solo is sized at 1.07-inches. Both will feature JLB Bluetooth wireless speakers and both will fit into E26, E27, and B22 sockets. As for the Boost, this is an interest bulb as it comes with a built-in WiFI repeater.
This basically helps to boost your WiFi signal which might come in handy in your home where some parts might not have that strong of a signal due to the walls blocking it and diminishing its signal strength.
Last but not least is the Sengled Snap. This is an LED bulb that comes integrated with an IP camera, microphone, and speaker. This is actually pretty nifty as users will be able to hide their cameras into the light and it will also be able to perform facial recognition and detect activity, with the information recorded being stored in the cloud.
The Sengled Pulse is priced between $79.99 to $169.99, the Pulse Solo at $59.99, and the Boost at $49.99.
