If you have been keeping up with rumors about Samsung products then you might have heard that the company is rumored to be working on a round smartwatch that its going to unveil at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in March. Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything as yet but already multiple reports and rumors have been published online detailing features of this wearable device. The latest rumor suggests that this upcoming smartwatch from Samsung is going to feature wireless charging.
Orbis is believed to be the internal codename for this device. This will be Samsung’s first fully round smartwatch that would take on the likes of Moto 360 and the LG G Watch R.
Wireless charging will be a first for any Samsung smartwatch and Orbis is rumored to come with this feature, claims Sammobile, saying that this feature will be present on the smartwatch out of the box. Users wouldn’t have to use any case or cover to use the wireless charging feature.
Users would no longer have to deal with charging cradles if wireless charging is really onboard the Orbis as it would really make it easy to juice up the smartwatch. Just how good the charging mechanism will be remains to be seen.
The Samsung Orbis was also recently rumored to have a rotating bezel ring as well as a power button inside the crown. For its part Samsung hasn’t confirmed or denied anything reported online about this smartwatch.
