Samsung Galaxy S6’s UI Will Be As Optimized As Stock Android

While Samsung makes great Android phones that pack a ton of features and comes with some pretty impressive hardware, if there is one thing that Samsung fans are probably not a fan of it would be the TouchWiz UI. Early last year we had heard that Google had told Samsung to cut back on Android modifications and according to the latest rumors, Samsung could be heeding Google’s words.

A report from Business Korea (via SamMobile) has suggested that with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung could be taking a whole new approach to Android, so much so that they will be scaling back on the TouchWiz modifications and getting rid of unnecessary features. In fact it has been suggested that Samsung could be looking at optimizing TouchWiz where it would run as smooth and as fast as stock Android itself.

Safe to say that this is something we’re sure many users are looking forward to. After all what’s the point of having a phone that comes with some pretty insane hardware if the software running on it is laggy and slow, right? Of course it remains to be seen how big of a change this could be and whether or not the rumors are even true to begin with.

No word on when Samsung will launch the Galaxy S6, but earlier rumors revealed that Samsung had shown off the handset to a select few behind closed doors at CES 2015. In any case MWC 2015 is kicking off in March so perhaps we will learn more then, assuming that Samsung isn’t choosing to launch it at their own event instead.
