A touch-based fingerprint sensor would make it very different from the swipe one that is currently implemented in the likes of the existing flagship, the Galaxy S5, the Note 4 and Note Edge smartphones. Touch is said to offer a marked improvement in performance as opposed to swipe, especially when one takes into consideration handsets that come with large displays which do require a whole lot of stretching down until one arrives at the home key.
As for the functionality of this sensor, it is said to remain within the confines of unlocking and verification purposes – at least for the moment. The home button is also whispered to be larger. Looks like more momentum is building up as the world prepares to receive the Samsung Galaxy S6!
