Samsung Galaxy A5 Gets The Midas Touch
Just like how Thorin was enamored by all of the treasure stored within the hallowed hallways of Erebor, so too, were many other people who have nothing but an absolute penchant for gold – and all other precious things, of course. Well, the Samsung Galaxy A5 is on the receiving end of the golden treatment this time around, thanks to Vietnamese gold-plating shop Karalux being the company that has decided to take up the challenge. The Galaxy A5 was first launched in the month before, and happens to be the first aluminum-clad smartphone from Samsung that makes up part of its mid-range models.
The whole metal body of the smartphone has been done up by Karalux, where there are still plastic patches located at the top, back and bottom which remained untouched simply for reception’s sake. Having said that, I do wonder whether the reception on these puppies would be lesser than the stock Galaxy A5 model, but that will only be proven when I manage to wrap my hands around this $200 piece of art – and that is for the price of the workmanship alone, minus the handset cost itself. Heck, if you would like to specify a custom design at the back, go ahead – it will cost you more though.
