Are robots supposed to be scary as they go on a rampage? I suppose so, assuming they are all networked and have an advanced Artificial Intelligence, seeing us humans as their primary threat to survival. Otherwise, robots are our friends, as they often help us perform all of those menial tasks at factories at amazing efficiency, not to mention helping gamers level up their in-game character in Destiny while one sleeps. Having said that, it seems that Russia’s military cyborg biker which was presented to Russian president Mr. Vladimir Putin, failed to impress the premier.
This unique cyborg was spotted wearing a less than impressive helmet, as it drives a four-wheeler (albeit slowly, although hopefully this is not a reflection of its real world performance capabilities) around a small track. It certainly is not going to be able to scare any enemies into submission, and if one were to move that slowly on the battlefield, one is unable to make it past a couple of hundred yards before it gets taken out by the enemy’s arsenal of weapons. Perhaps this cyborg biker will need a whole lot more of tuning up in its capabilities before it is able to strike terror into the hearts of mankind.
