The Samsung J1 is an upcoming smartphone from Samsung. The handset has yet to be announced and based on its specs, it seems like a pretty entry-level device that might be great for those who are looking for a new phone but don’t want to spend too much. That being said, how much will the Samsung J1 cost?
Well thanks to a sighting on a Russian online retail website, a possible price tag for the Samsung J1 has been revealed. According to the listing, the phone is pegged at around $170 after conversion, making it a fairly affordable device. Of course this is conversion based on the Russian ruble and assuming it makes its way stateside, we could be looking at a different price tag.
However the $170 mark should give us an idea of how much we could expect to pay. Just in case you might have missed our earlier coverage, the Samsung J1 is said to feature a 4.3-inch 480×800 display. It will be powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and will be accompanied by 1GB of RAM.
There will be 4GB of onboard storage that can be expanded via microSD, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, and a 1,850mAh battery. It is also expected to be available in multiple variants, such as radio connectivity and dual SIM capabilities. It is also expected to start shipping on the 23rd of January, although the device has yet to be made official.
