[CES 2015] Parrot is a company probably best known for their fleet of drones and headphones, and if you’ve enjoyed their previous offerings, you might be interested to learn that the company has recently announced the RNB6, a connected infotainment system unit for vehicles that will be based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
It will also be compatible with both Apple’s CarPlay and Google’s Android Auto and will allow drivers to use their phones in a safe manner while driving. It will provide drivers with features such as a navigation system, driving assistance services, hands-free telephony, and voice management to help launch apps, music playback, radio and so on.
For those who are looking for more diagnostic abilities, the Parrot RNB6 will be able to access your vehicle’s on-board diagnostics and will be able to display to the driver technical information about their car, such as air-con management, tire pressure, and so on. It will also be able to remind drivers when they need to service their vehicle.
Last but not least, the Parrot RNB6 will come installed with a road safety camera that will automatically film and record the road while driving. Unfortunately pricing has not been revealed but Parrot expects the RNB6 to be made available later this year.
