It was just last week when it was reported that the recently launched Nokia N1 tablet went up for sale over in the world’s most populous country, China. The thing is, the initial batch of just 20,000 units managed to sell out in a matter of four minutes. That would average 5,000 units in a single minute, now how about that? Well, seeing such fine reception at first, obviously there was a second batch in tow – and we are pleased as punch to hear that the second batch also went on sale – and similar to the first batch, this one took mere minutes to sell out.
There was no mention on the total number of units which were made available in the second batch, the flash sale this time around lasted longer – which could lead to one of the following two conclusions: there were far more than 20,000 units of the Nokia N1 on sale, or two, the demand has dropped despite putting up a similar number of units for sale.
Just to recap, the Nokia N1 will sport a 7.9” display with touchscreen capability at 2,048 x 1,536 resolution, run on Intel’s Atom Z3580 SoC that boasts of a quad-core 2.3 GHz CPU, an 8MP shooter at the back with a 5MP selfie shooter in front, all of it running on a 5,300 mAh battery. Memory-wise, you get 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory, all of it running on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
