With Nokia’s cellphone division at their disposal, we have to admit that we are curious as to what kind of high-end smartphone Microsoft could potentially launch. So far we’ve seen the company launch low-mid range handsets which aren’t particularly impressive, although we reckon it should help them capture the emerging market.
Unfortunately if flagship Windows Phone handsets are what you’re still after, MWC 2015 could be a fairly disappointing experience for you. According to new rumors, Microsoft will be launching at least two new Lumia handsets at the event, however there will not be any announcement for flagship handsets.
Interestingly enough the rumor claims that these two Lumia handsets are expected to run on Microsoft’s new Windows 10 platform which has us a little skeptical especially since Microsoft has yet to publicly release their latest operating system, but perhaps these devices might offer a preview of what’s to come.
Microsoft has promised that we will eventually see flagship Windows Phone handsets, but we guess it won’t be anytime soon. In the meantime other OEMs such as Acer have confirmed that they themselves will be launching Windows Phone handsets at MWC 2015, so be sure to check back with us then to see what they have to offer.
