In fact, in November last year itself, saw MySpace having around 300 million video views, which would place the site at 16th place on comScore’s Video Metrix ranking. If one were to dig even deeper by tracking MySpace’s existing audience against the same time period one year back, then it might be surprising to hear that MySpace has actually seen a comeback of sorts – with the 50.6 million unique users in November being a 575% increase compared to a similar time period back in 2013. Not too shabby for a supposedly defunct social network, right?
Vanderhook mentioned, “MySpace was an early photo-sharing platform. So we still see a lot of people coming back to access old photos. They may not visit every day but they come back once a week or once a month.” Looks like nostalgia could very well allow MySpace to make a comeback.
