Missed Out On The Oscars? Build Your Own!

The wonders of Lego – you will be able to build just about anything that your imagination is able to think up of – provided you happen to have the right bricks in place, of course. While nominees for the Oscars have already been announced, it seems that the hilarious Lego Movie has been snubbed, but this has not caused a setback in any way since director Phil Lord has decided to build an Oscar of his own. Using Lego, of course.

There is still an outside chance to bring home the golden statue for the song “Everything is Awesome”, but other than that, this Lego Oscar will have to do. If only there were pieces of Lego that were coated in real gold – now what would certainly be something worth checking out, don’t you think so?

Phil Lord tweeted “It’s okay. Made my own!” as you can see from the photo above after finding out that The Lego Movie was not even among the nominees for the Best Animated Film. Of course, he most probably did not make up this Lego Oscar all by himself, but the funny message was loud and clear. It is always nice to have a sense of humor, which is most probably why The Lego Movie was so awesome in the first place.
