The Lumia 532 by Microsoft which was just released today has also revealed something very interesting – where it was caught running a rather unusual looking app. Upon closer inspection, it seems as though the app that was seen running on the Lumia 532 happens to be a spanking new version of Skype, which belongs to Microsoft as well. Still, the image alone does not have enough of a “backbone” for it to be identified as a new user interface for the messaging app, or whether it is but a mere mock up which was specially commissioned to celebrate the occasion.
Should it be the former, which would mean a new version of Skype is well on its way – which ain’t too far off the mark when you think about it, since we have talked about how Skype for iPhone has been updated as well. Skype right now does have its fair share of competition in the VoIP and IM market, with messaging app Wire being one of its rivals that sports a far more updated user interface compared to what Skype offers at the moment.
All we can do at the moment would be to sit tight and wait of course. After all, it has always been time that will either confirm or debunk a particular rumor, and since we are not going to go anywhere anytime soon, why not just play the patience card?
