After completing the somewhat short but incredibly fun Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, we’re sure many gamers are looking forward to getting their hands on the next installment in the series, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. The game was obviously not released last year but according to the rumors, we had heard an early 2015 release was possible.
In fact towards the end of last year, a leaked date had suggested that we might be able to look forward to the game on the 24th of Feburary. If you’re still curious and wondering when you can get your hands on it, you can rest easy because it seems that the folks at Kojima Productions will be making an announcement soon.
Speaking during the weekly Kojima Station webcast, a Kojima Productions spokesperson was quoted as saying, “I know you’ve all been eagerly await for word on releasing timing. I think we should be able to announce that soon, so look forward to that. It’s only a little longer.” It is unclear as to when the announcement will be made, but there is an event taking place in Taipei on the 31st of January that is related to The Phantom Pain, so perhaps we will learn more then.
