meta m1Back in 2014, you guys might have heard of the Meta M1 smartwatch, although if you haven’t it’s probably because the device failed to make as big a splash as the other smartwatches that have launched since. That and the fact that it packs a $250 price tag probably put several customers off from buying it, especially when there are cheaper options available.

However it looks like Meta wants another shot at the smartwatch market, and instead of releasing a new device, they have slashed the price of the Meta M1 and added new features to the device thanks to a partnership with Misfit. The watch has had its price cut down to $149 and has gained new features such as step and sleep tracking thanks to its Misfit watch face.

The Basic mode will function and provide the wearer with a daily step count summary, even if they don’t have a Misfit account. However if you were to sign up for a Misfit account, you will gain access to the Enhanced mode that shows more information such as activity level points, sleep tracking, and more.

The price changes have already been reflected in Meta’s store where the cheapest option is priced starting at $149 and will increase depending on what kind of band you go for. In the meantime those who already own the Meta M1 should be able to update their software via the Meta Manager app for iOS and Android.
