Lumia 532 Revealed

Microsoft has done pretty well for itself in the world of smartphones – never mind that Windows Phone still has some way to go before it is able to be on par with that of Android and iOS, but it has its fair share of fans. Of course, what is the whole point of having software when there is no decent hardware to accompany it? This means the newly released Lumia 532 from Microsoft is worth checking out, where it will be similar to the Lumia 530 in the sense that it comes with a 4” display alongside two variants – a single SIM model and a dual SIM model. The Lumia 532 will feature Microsoft branding instead of Nokia, and you can check out the rest of the hardware specifications after the jump.

The 4” LCD display on the Lumia 532 would feature WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution and Glance, where the handset will be powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, accompanied by 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory which can be further expanded thanks to a microSD memory card slot, a 5MP shooter at the back with fixed focus, a VGA selfie camera, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, and a 1,560mAh battery to keep things going – all of those crammed into a chassis that measures 118.9mm x 65.5mm x 11.6mm while tipping the scales at 136 grams.

Expect the Lumia 532 to go on sale in various segments of Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East from next month onward, with a recommended retail price of €79. [Press Release]
