It may have been a few months since Google released Android 5.0 Lollipop but the new iteration of its operating system isn’t running on many devices out there. The latest Android distribution stats show that Lollipop hasn’t made many gains and KitKat remains at the top. One of the biggest reasons behind this is the fact that many of the most popular devices have yet to receive Lollipop, for example majority of the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 users are still waiting, and so are those who possess the LG G2.
It merits mentioning here that LG was the first OEM to get this update out for its mobile device. The LG G3 received Android 5.0 Lollipop last year in select markets and now the focus is on LG G2.
A short video has been published online which shows LG G2 with Android 5.0 Lollipop installed. One can see that LG has carried over the user interface changes it made in the Lollipop update for G3 along with a few tweaks. This makes the overall user interface much better.
All of this comes second to the features and improvements that Lollipop itself brings and there’s no doubt that LG G2 owners are anxiously waiting to be able to take them for a spin.
So far LG hasn’t said when G2 owners can expect Android 5.0 Lollipop to land. Users in the U.S. may have to wait even longer once you factor in carrier delays.
