Pardon the pun, but I certainly could not resist doing so with the title. Having said that, Lenovo continues to have strong faith in its unique, flexible design of its notebooks, and this time around it would be the Lenovo Flex 3 range that would make an appearance. Boasting of a 360-degree hinge, this particular hardware design would enable users to be able to let the touchscreen rotate a full circle – allowing you to transform a notebook into a tablet, although you can be quite sure that this is going to be a pretty heavy tablet at the very least.
Still, the Lenovo Flex 3 has been marketed to be an entry level convertible notebook, and there are another two modes apart from the notebook mode and tablet mode that we already know – and these would be the stand mode that lets you view images or photos in a unique manner, with tent mode freeing up your hands as you watch the latest blockbuster on it.
Running on Windows 8.1, the Lenovo Flex 3 will come with up to an Intel 5th generation Core i7 processor for its 14″ and 15″ models, while the 11″ model would have to settle for 5th generation Pentium processors. Apart from that, you will get up to 1TB of storage space that ought to be plenty to go around even for a media savvy user, with the 11″ model maintaining the step not to make the jump to Full HD resolution, while the 14″ and 15″ models do come with Full HD resolution.
Apart from that, treat your ears to some goodness thanks to its Dolby Home Theatre capability. Other hardware specifications include a memory card reader, a 720p webcam, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, and an Ethernet port among others. The 11″, 14″ and 15″ models will retail for $399, $549 and $579, respectively as they are primed for a May 2015 release.
