K-Touch Dives Into Windows Phone Market With 2 New Handsets

When it comes to smartphones that run on the Windows Phone platform, I would say that majority of the hardware happens to be those that hail from Nokia – and of course, now Microsoft. Still, Microsoft has over 30 partners that are in the business of rolling out Windows Phone handsets, with K-Touch being one of them. In fact, K-Touch has already revealed a couple of new devices that are known as the K-Touch 5705A and the K-Touch 5703A, where they will be mid-range and entry-level models, respectively.

The K-Touch 5705A will feature a 5″ IPS LCD disply with 720p resolution, dual-SIM, dual-standby connectivity, Windows Phone 8.1 on a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 chipset, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory which can be further expanded via a microSD memory card slot. Apart from that, there is also an 8MP shooter at the back and a 2MP camera in front.

As for the K-Touch 5703A, this particular model looks set to challenge the Lumia 630, where it sports a 4.5″ IPS LCD display with a 480 x 854 pixel resolution, and while the specifications point to ClearBlack, that happens to be a Nokia trademark, so it might be worth investigating further. A similar Snapdragon 200 chipset powers it, although the RAM count has dropped by half to 512MB, alongside 8GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot. Expect both handsets to launch in the coming weeks.
