Hubsan X4 Pro Drone Can Parachute To Safety
[CES 2015] Drones, drones everywhere! When you think about it, drones are a marvel of engineering – not only do they need to be lightweight enough to get around on a relatively small (and hopefully quiet) motor which is more often than not powered by a battery of some sort, it will also have to be rigid enough so that it does not get blown away by the slightest gust of wind. However, mishaps can, and do happen – sending many a drone come crashing down to the ground from its flight path, and the end result is usually not pretty. In order to prevent your expensive new toy break into debris as it hits the ground, Hubsan has come up with a brilliant idea for its
Hubsan X4 Pro – by attaching a parachute to it.
The Hubsan X4 Pro, equipped with a parachute that will only activate upon the detection of a collision, is unique since this particular parachute can be removed or assembled freely – not to mention the fact that it can also be used multiple times. Meaning, you would get more and more adept at folding up such a small parachute in the long run, but hopefully that will not be the case since your drone flying skills, too, ought to improve in the course of time. Perhaps having some of that nifty collision avoidance system would come in handy.
The Hubsan X4 Pro itself will boast of a 1080p high definition camera, 3 axis gimbal rotation and automatic return to home technology. There is no word on pricing or availability as at press time.
