Is it me, or is the trend of micro PCs growing in a slow and steady manner? After all, we have seen the likes of the Intel Compute Stick, not to mention Meego’s offering. This time around, it would be Hannspree that is behind the latest micro PC for your consideration. Hannspree is well known for their TVs that come in various designs which are more often than not suitable for a younger audience, making this micro PC a slight detour from their usual offerings.
What does the Hannspree micro PC come with underneath the hood? For starters, it will be powered by an Intel Bay Trail processor, accompanied by the likes of 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Of course, it packs enough processing muscle to be able to do all of the usual, plain Jane functions such as checking your email, viewing some YouTube videos and the ilk. Just don’t expect it to be able to run Grand Theft Auto 5 for the PC though.
Being a wee bit larger in size as opposed to a standard USB flash drive, all that you need to do is to plug the Hannspree micro PC into the HDMI port on your TV or monitor, and you’re good to go with a fully functional Windows PC. Thankfully, it sports a fully licensed version of Windows 8.1 on it, which means you need not purchase one for yourself. The asking price is approximately $215 thereabouts if you are interested in picking one up.
