When you have a game that is looked forward to by so many, you can be sure that any delay in its release is definitely going to cause a fair amount of frustration. What more, if the delay is done not once, but twice! However, I have always assumed the stance that a reasonable delay (or delays in this case) is worth waiting for, especially if the game released will not be gimped in any major way. Rockstar themselves have announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 for the PC will be delayed for the second time – pushing back its release date to March 24th.
I guess you can cancel plans for the rest of the week of January 27th to stay in and enjoy the game, since it will be a couple more months after that before you will be able to have a go – assuming all goes well at that point in time then.
Is there a reason for this delay? Apparently so, as Rockstar claims that the additional time will offer it “a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make [the PC version of GTA 5] as good as can be. Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.”
The PC version of the best settling GTA 5 will be easy on the eyes, especially when it boasts of support for 4K resolution at 60fps as well as supporting triple monitor configurations – hopefully you have a machine powerful enough to do that! [Press Release]
