If you have played Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V, you probably know that one of the game’s playable characters, Michael, owns a rather swanky pad. The character’s house has a pool, a hot-tub, tennis courts, a two-car garage, three bedrooms, and has been designed in the Spanish Renaissance style, so safe to say it looks good.
Now while there are plenty of equally big and beautiful mansions, if not bigger, one gamer has decided that he would love to be able to recreate Michael’s GTA 5 mansion in real life, so much so that he has decided to launch a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the mansion of his dreams. He is asking for a whopping €1,670,000 and given that he has only managed to raise €20, he is pretty far off.
Speaking to TheLADbible, Paul Boyle said, “It all started playing the game over christmas with a few drinks, which got me thinking the only way this first person view could be any better is if I actually built the house myself.” Boyle admits that the amount he is asking for is a lot, but at the same time he hopes that he will be able to achieve his dream someday, even if the Kickstarter fails to become funded.
His plans include creating the house exactly like the version in the game. “I find the whole house designed to perfection, the garden itself has to be one of my favourites along with Jimmy’s room and I’d like to recreate the smashed television screen. This is my first project so far, I have a good attention to detail and recreating items, especially something as awesome as this.”
We can’t be sure how serious Boyle’s efforts are, but if you’d like to help him out, you can pop on over to his Kickstarter page for the details. In the meantime for those who are curious about Michael’s house, you can check out a tour of his home in the video above.
