Griffin Unveils Host Of Mobile Charging Accessories
If you’re looking for some new mobile accessories, you’re in luck because at CES 2015, Griffin has announced a handful of them. These mobile accessories include mostly charging devices that will charge your smartphone/tablet, whether you choose to charge it at home or while on the go.
Starting with the PowerDock Pro, this is a redesign of the PowerDock 5 and will allow users to charge up to 5 devices at once. The output of the dock is at 12-Watt and will play nicely with either iOS or Android devices. The PowerDock Pro will also feature a ChargeSensor circuitry that will be able to match the correct charging rate for your device and is expected to go on sale in the fall for $130.
Next up is the PowerBlock 3 and as the image and name suggests, this is a wall charger that will be able to charge up to 3 USB powered devices at once. It has a 10-Watt output and will also come with the ChargeSensor technology built into it and will work on both standard 120 to 240-volt AC wall outlets. The PowerBlock 3 will go on sale this summer for $40.
Griffin has also announced the PowerBlock Wall Dock. This is a 12-Watt wall charger with a Lighting cable that can be threaded through the charger to allow the phone to sit on top of the charger while it charges, for those who might prefer this kind of setup as it allows the phone to be propped upright. With an estimated shipping this fall, the PowerBlock Wall Dock will be priced at $35.
As for drivers, Griffin has the PowerJoly Premium. This is a 12-Watt charger designed for iOS devices thanks to its bundled Lightning cable. It should work with 12-volt access outlets and will be priced at $30 for the model with an attached Lightning cable, and $35 for the model with the detachable cable, and is expected to begin shipping this fall.
