It is without a doubt that an app like Google Maps happens to be one of the most popular Google apps that are being used at the moment, and part of the reason behind this would be the overall usefulness, public transport information, not to mention frequent updates that ensure you will not end up with outdated information to the best of Google’s ability. In fact, Google Maps has just received an update – which would bump it up to version 9.3, and with that, you can expect it to come with a slew of new features.
In fact, the most recent update to Google Maps was released was released earlier this morning – alongside a planned rollout in the coming days. Right now, Google Play happens to be listing the update, so not everyone will be able to get the latest version right now, although some patience is required in such a situation. One of the more interesting additions would be the ability to share directions from within the app itself – which means any app which is accessible via the standard share function will be able to accept such directions.
How about the ability to permanently dismiss the pop-up notification for location accuracy permanently should those settings be different from what Maps is looking for? Surely a minor annoyance, but at least you need not deal with it anymore. I’m sure you aren’t the only one looking out for the latest version of the Google Maps app.
