Samsung usually doesn’t make major smartphone announcements at the Consumer Electronics Show which takes place in the very start of January every year. We don’t it to stray from tradition in 2015. However that doesn’t mean some of the company’s partners won’t be able to feast their eyes on the upcoming flagship. A new report reiterates this, claiming the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be shown off to select partners at CES 2015.
Since Samsung won’t be showing off the upcoming flagship to consumers just yet, media won’t be given access, and even if some outlets are allowed in they won’t be able to inform the public about it before the company makes the official announcement a couple of months later.
According to Sammobile the Galaxy S6 and one of its variants will be displayed during the International Consumer Electronics Show 2015 to selected partners, this will obviously happen behind closed doors under strict security, so the chances of pictures being leaked are incredibly slim. The partners who will get this opportunity have not been named.
There are no details about the Galaxy S6 variant which will be displayed. Rumor has it that Samsung has developed a Galaxy Note Edge-like variant for its next flagship that too has a curved display. We’ll only know for sure when the official word comes in.
