[CES 2015] E FUN happens to be a consumer electronics designer and manufacturer of mobile lifestyle products, and this time around they have revealed a range of easy-to-install, simple-to-use home automation products. I guess hoe automation looks set to be one of the next big things out there in the market, and E FUN has positioned their effort using the brand name Nexturn. Nexturn’s products will enable its users to check out just all the goings-on back home in real time – even when they are not around, thanks to a decent Internet connection.
Apart from that, using an app that is installed on a smartphone or tablet, the user will also be able to wield control over a range of functions within the residence. All that users need to do is to select the kit which would fit their needs, proceeding with the installation process afterward.
Nexturn’s flexible and secure architecture would centralize the control of lighting; HVAC (heating/ventilation/ air conditioning); appliances; security locks on windows, doors, and gates; and other systems. Apart from that, there is also the Nexturn+ app which is available on both iOS and Android platforms, being the “engine” that allows users to review and control their home electrical functions through a smartphone or tablet. Best of all is, there is no monthly subscription to worry about here.
You can pick the Nexturn system in Bronze, Silver, and Gold kits, where all of them will come with a Zigbee gateway, smart plug on/off switch, smart bulb converter, two door sensors, and a magnet binding bar. The Silver kit has an additional wireless switch and a pair of motion sensors, while the Gold kit would add all of that in addition to a Wi-Fi IP camera. Prices range from $159 to $299 as the Nexturn system arrives this March.
