How many of you out there can still remember the very first time where you enjoyed a round of Duke Nukem 3D? All of that crass trash talking, not to mention partial pixelated nudity in certain areas of the game, certainly raised the profile of this digital character. Well, that was all the way back in 1996, and now that it is already the year 2015, how has the game fared close to two decades down the road? It seems that Devolver Digital, Abstraction Games, and General Arcade have decided to resurrect 3D Realms’ legendary shooter by delivering Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition to the Sony PS3 and PS Vita for those gamers who were not yet born back when Duke Nukem 3D was making waves in the gaming scene.
This unique collection of all things Duke Nukem 3D will include Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition which comprises of all four officially released episodes alongside carefully restored visuals, timeless gameplay, and all-new PlayStation Trophies, accompanied by Duke Caribbean: Life’s a Beach where Duke will battle it out with aliens who are also on vacation in beach side hotels, tropical lagoons, and even a cruise ship.
There will also be Duke It Out in D.C., as Duke delivers his hard hitting brand of politics all the way to Washington D.C., in order to repel the alien invasion that is set on gaining control of the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, and FBI headquarters. Last but not least, Duke: Nuclear Winter would see Duke heat things up at the North Pole. Any takers? [Press Release]
