[CES 2015] There are plenty of smartphone OEMs out there in the market today, but if those mainstream brands don’t appeal to you, you might be interested in checking out BLU Products, a US-based company that has been steadily churning out affordable and relatively decent smartphones for a while now.
The company has recently announced a handful of new smartphones for CES 2015 which follows on the heels of their previous launch a couple of weeks ago, one of which is the Vivo Air. This is a remarkably thin handset at 5.1mm. It will feature a lightweight body at 100g and is built from a solid block of aluminum magnesium alloy.
It will sport a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED Gorilla Glass 3 1280×720 HD display. It will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.7GHz and will be accompanied by 1GB of RAM. It will feature an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. It will also come with Android 4.4 KitKat preinstalled but no word on when it might be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The Vivo Air will come in a white finish with gold accents, or a black finish with gunmetal accents and will be available for purchase mid-January via Amazon for a price of $199.99. Any takers?
