[CES 2015] It is not a surprise to see the Internet of Things (IoT) being one of the mainstays of consumer electronics these days, as anything that is not connected would be deemed to be a “dinosaur” of sorts. Having said that, BeeWi, a company that has made its name through the delivering of a slew of wireless devices, intends to showcase their home automation platform at CES 2015, kicking things off with the CES Unveiled event today.
For those who happen to live across the pond (Europe, that is), the BeeWi platform has been around – as well as in our neighbors up north (Canada) and selected areas of South America for a while already. Hence, it is with much excitement to hear that BeeWi is ready for the US market – and they intend to deliver their collection of automation devices, with the BeeWi Smartlite being one of them.
The BeeWi Smartlite is one of the 10 products in their range, where this unique RGB LED lights will do away with the need for a hub – and not only that, it will be more affordable as opposed to the Philips offering. Apart from that, BeeWi is looking to roll out a feature in the future to have the light capture the mood of the room at any given time, how cool is that? Of course, it will take some time before this feature arrives, but it is something to look forward to.
