If you’re in the market for a set of speakers, you might be interested to learn that Zettaly has recently announced that the Avy, a pair of speakers which the company claims to be “smart” speakers, and given that there is an Android tablet attached to the speakers, we guess that might not be such a wild claim after all.
The speakers will weigh about 1kg but we guess they weren’t exactly designed to be made portable and should sit nicely on your desk or in your living room. Users will be able to play music either by loading the Android tablet with their own collection, or alternatively they could always stream music via sources such as Spotify.
Given that there is an Android tablet built into the speakers, users will also be able to download a variety of apps, such a video apps or maybe even games which they can then enjoy using the built-in speakers on either side of it. The Avy will be powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz with 1GB of RAM and will come with 8-32GB of memory.
Users will also be able to add additional memory up to 64GB via a microSD card. At the moment the Avy speakers are a Kickstarter project where users can help back it by pledging $129. However come 12th February, users can pre-order it where it will be priced starting at $169 for the 8GB model, and come May that’s when Zettaly expects the Avy to make its way to retailers.
