ASUS has just introduced their latest addition to the ZenFone family, which comes in the form of the ZenFone C. This particular smartphone that hails from Taiwan has appeared over in Malaysia, where the ZenFone C is touted to replace the ZenFone 4, being an entry-level device by itself. The full hardware specifications sheet for the handset had already made its way online, not to mention a slew of photos of what the real deal looks like. At first glance, one might actually think that this is more or less identical to the ZenFone 4 where design is concerned, although underneath the hood, you ought to be able to find a fair number of updates.
For instance, the new ASUS ZenFone C will feature a larger 4.5” IPS display complete with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, in addition to a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 processor, 1GB RAM, and 8GB of internal memory. There will be a 5MP shooter located the back and a yawn-inducing VGA camera in front, although one would also be able to find a LED flash on the device as well as EIS for improved low-light performance.
Oh yeah, do expect the ASUS ZenFone C to last longer as well thanks to the larger 2,100 mAh capacity battery, and this handset will arrive in black, white and red shades from early next month onward at less than $100 after conversion.
