Like many of its rivals Amazon is also producing original content. It has even taken one step forward and announced that its going into the movie business. Transparent, a popular new show from Amazon, picked up two Golden Globes recently and to celebrate the win Amazon is going to let everyone stream all 10 episodes for free this Saturday.
Normally one must have an Amazon Prime membership to stream the show but this Saturday its available free for all. As part of this celebration the company is also discounting the Amazon Prime membership to just $72, it usually costs $99, and gives users access to a big library of TV shows, movies, music as well as free two-day shipping. The offer can be claimed at Amazon.com/TransparentPrime.
Transparent picked up the Golden Globe for Best Musical or Comedy Series while lead star Jeffrey Tambor of Arrested Development fame received the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Series.
So this Saturday anyone can watch all 10 episodes of Transparent online starting at 12:01 am ET until 11:59 pm PT. Those interested can stream the show through the Amazon Instant Video app for TVs, set-top boxes, mobile devices as well as online through Amazon.com/Transparent.
