The folks at BGR have recently compiled a list of alleged specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 that they have heard from their source. Most of which seem to be in line what what we have heard, but there are some slight variants. For starters their source claims that the Galaxy S6 will feature a 5.1-inch QHD display. Previously we had heard 5.5-inches, but assuming they keep it at 5.1-inches it would be the same as the Galaxy S5.
Their source also claims that it will feature Cat 6 LTE while an earlier rumor suggested Cat 10 LTE, but other than that it seems that the rest of the specs are identical to the rumors. This includes a 64-bit octa-core chipset, a 20MP rear-facing camera with OIS, a 5MP front-facing camera, 32/64/128GB storage options, a 2,550mAh battery, a metal and glass body, and will also come with Samsung Pay, which is presumably Samsung’s take on Apple Pay.
There are also rumors that the phone will feature quick connect charging which will provide four hours of usage on a 10 minute charge, similar to Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology. No word on which version of Android it will run on, but presumably we can expect Android 5.0 Lollipop. Take it all with a grain of salt for now, but if the 2nd of March announcement is to be believed, we won’t have to wait much longer to get a confirmation on the specs.
