It goes without saying that South Korean smartphone manufacturer, Samsung, will be rolling out their brand new flagship device later this year – where it will be called the Samsung Galaxy S6, continuing from where the Galaxy S naming convention left off. Tipped to arrive in March this year at Mobile World Congress, there has been some leaks of the handset in the past, and what you see above here happens to be an alleged prototype of the Galaxy S6.
Of course, although a picture supposedly speaks a thousand words, not much can be mentioned here although we can tell that if this should be the real deal in due time, then the overall design has undergone a rather substantial change. The positioning of the rear flash/heart rate sensor does seem to have moved, which so happens to be located right next to the sensor instead of being under it, and the overall design does seem to be rather flat, accompanied by rounded edges in the corner.
Of course, it does make plenty of sense to take this bit in with a pinch of salt – or rather, throw a handful at it, since this is but an alleged prototype unit. Who knows? The final design could turn out to be radically different, making this but a red herring all this while.
