Alleged HTC One M9 Prototype Photos Surface

Given how beautifully crafted the HTC One M8 was, we’re sure many are wondering what the upcoming HTC One M9 might look like. We suppose it still remains to be seen but according to the folks at Nowhereelse.fr (via PocketNow), they claim to have gotten their hands on what appears to be images of the alleged HTC One M9 prototype.

Now right off the bat the handset looks very much like the HTC One M8 which is a bit suspicious, but for the sake of speculation and discussion, we’ll assume it isn’t. It features the front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers, and as you can see in the image below, the back of the handset is curved too much like the HTC One M8. The only slight difference we can see in the photo is that the camera on the back of the alleged prototype is shaped like a square.

Unfortunately due to the way the photo was taken, the top part of the phone cannot be seen so we cannot confirm there will be a Duo Camera setup or if it will be just a single lens. While we don’t mind the HTC One M8’s design, we’re sure many are hoping to see HTC come up with something new, so hopefully these alleged photos aren’t an indication of the real thing.

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now but HTC has sent out invites for an event that will be held on the 1st of March which is when MWC 2015 will kick off. HTC is also rumored to launch a wearable on that date as well, so do check back with us then for the details. In the meantime what do you guys make of the photos?
