The other day we reported on an Alcatel OneTouch smartphone dubbed the PIXI 3, an upcoming smartphone that would play nicely with a bunch of different smartphone operating systems. Well for those who were hoping for a bit more information, Alcatel OneTouch has revealed the specs and features of the PIXI 3 in full at CES 2015.
As per our previous report, the PIXI 3 will come in different sizes which includes a 3.5-inch display, a 4-inch display, a 4.5-inch display, and a 5-inch display variant. Starting with the 3.5-inch model, this will feature a resolution of 320×480 and will be powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz. There will be a 2MP rear-facing camera, a VGA front-facing camera, and will come with Android 4.4 KitKat preinstalled.
As for the 4-inch model, the specs are similar save for its resolution which is at 800×480. There will be a 4G variant that will be powered by a quad-core processor, but it’s 3G model will also be powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz. The 4.5-inch model of the PIXI 3 is also similar to that of the 4-inch model.
Its resolution has been bumped ever so slightly to 854×480 along with its cameras. The 4.5-inch PIXI 3 will come with a 5MP rear-facing camera, a VGA front-facing camera, and will also come with Android 4.4 KitKat preinstalled. Last but not least is the 5-inch model which is almost identical to the 4.5-inch model.
The 5-inch PIXI 3 will be powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor for the 3G version and will be clocked at 1.1GHz quad-core for the 4G version. Oddly enough all phones are loaded with Android 4.4 KitKat so we’re not sure how one goes about loading other operating systems. Pricing and availability was not mentioned either but hopefully we will find out more about it at a later date.
