U.S. Cellular Starts Selling The Nexus 6

Looking to purchase the latest Nexus smartphone? There’s now another destination from where you can pick one up. The Nexus 6, developed by Motorola, is a pretty powerful device which also happens to be the first smartphone to ship with Android 5.0 installed straight out of the box. U.S. Cellular has started selling this device, which is also available through all four national carriers in the country, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile to be precise.

Customers who are interested in picking up this device from U.S. Cellular will have to pay $199 on contract for a 32GB model in either Midnight Blue or White. A 64GB version is also on sale for people who would like more onboard storage, that one costs $249.99 with a contract.

Should one want to purchase the Nexus 6 without a two year contract, there’s always the option of paying the entire device cost upfront. Since the Nexus 6’s pricing strategy is a bit different this time around, upfront customers have to pay $660 for the 32GB model and $730 for the 64GB one.

Potential customers should keep in mind that the on-contract price applies to new customers and is excluding the $40 activation fee that has to be paid separately. An installment plan is also being offered by U.S. Cellular, called “Shared Connect,” which requires the customer to pay $33 or $36.50 per month for 32GB and 64GB models respectively.
