Toshiba has just announced their most recent solution which would enable customers to play back personal digital content without having to remain tethered to anything. This is made possible thanks to the Toshiba Canvio Aerocast Wireless HDD that intends to let you experience digital content on a TV in a different way. This unique device would deliver the benefits of high-capacity external storage alongside wireless freedom, where you can hook up to your Chromecast device (which you need to purchase separately) in order to enjoy personal digital content ala movies, music and photos. However, you need to download Toshiba’s Google Cast Ready app beforehand so that one can cast entertainment from the Canvio AeroCast Wireless Hard Drive to an HDTV.
You will be able to enjoy 1TB of storage space on the Canvio AeroCast Wireless Hard Drive, and if you would like to perform an upload or back up your precious content from various mobile devices, that can be done easily and directly for secure, centralized storage. If you need to access information on your hard drive in a jiffy, fret not – you can also do so via the device’s own local Wi-Fi connection without the need for any Internet. There is a battery life of up to 5 hours and it has the ability to hook up to six devices simultaneously. The 1TB Canvio AeroCast will retail for $219.99 a pop if you are interested.
