Elon Musk, the guy at the helm of Tesla, is often labeled as a visionary and even a genius by some. You may agree or disagree with those views but it goes without saying that some of the things he has worked on are years ahead of everyone else. Tesla is working on one such thing itself. Musk revealed through a tweet that the company is working on a charger which is like a “solid metal snake.”
The description that Musk provided of this charger makes it seem like it comes from the future. According to him the charger will come out from the wall automatically and then connect to the Tesla Model S like a solid metal snake.
Musk didn’t reveal in the tweet that whether this new charger would be exclusive to the company’s Supercharger stations or whether it will be offered to customers so that they can have it installed in their homes, or perhaps it plans on doing both.
Before we start marking our calendars for release lets just keep in mind that Tesla is “working on” this charger which doesn’t really tell us anything about when it will be launched. Perhaps it might take the company longer than imagined to get this running perfectly, and if that is the case, then we might be in for a long wait before we see this snake-like charger for Tesla’s electric cars.
