If there is one thing in particular about Tesla Motors chief executive Elon Musk that helps him to stand out from the rest of the CEO crowd, it would be this – he will respond to questions from Tesla owners through Twitter, now how about that for staying abreast with the latest developments? Well, it seems that from late Friday afternoon onward, there will be additional details revealed concerning the long awaited battery upgrade where the Tesla Roadster is concerned, targeting models that were sold in the U.S. from 2008 all the way through to 2011.
Musk tweeted, “Roadster update details coming next week. “Several crisis issues [with] higher priority pushed this out longer than expected.” as part of a response to a question from Twitter user Manfred Hillinger.
The models sold in the time frame mentioned were different from the Model S electric luxury sedan, where those Roadsters tend not to come with quick charging capability. Hence, to see a brand new battery pack that offers up to 400 miles of range would allow Roadster drivers to enjoy a level of practicality which is closer to that of the Model S. If you happen to be a proud owner of a Tesla Roadster, how do you view this news?
