Not too long ago Google unveiled a handful of new Nexus products and that’s when we got to see the much rumored Nexus 9 tablet. The tablet has been available for purchase through a variety of retailers and resellers, T-Mobile was supposed to offer it soon as well, but things have taken a turn for the worse at the carrier as far as this tablet is concerned. T-Mobile is postponing the Nexus 9 launch for the time being.
Internal communication made public by TmoNews confirms that the launch of Google Nexus 9 has been postponed. T-Mobile hasn’t exactly said what is the reason behind this delay and no new date has been confirmed as yet. The internal communication only says that T-Mobile will launch the Nexus 9 “on a date to be determined.”
The new Nexus devices have had a bit of hard time on T-Mobile this year. Nexus 6 launch at the carrier had to be delayed by a week because shipments hadn’t arrived, and even when they did, delivery of 64GB models was an issue in itself. Now the Nexus 9 launch gets postponed through no apparent fault of the carrier.
Previous reports had suggested that the Nexus 9 will be launched by T-Mobile in December, even though a date hadn’t been officially confirmed by the carrier. Now we’ll have to wait and see when it makes an announcement regarding this.
