People who own the aging Galaxy Tab 3 on T-Mobile have something to look forward to today. The carrier has rolled out a new software update which is going to bring major changes for the user interface as well as the feature set. T-Mobile Galaxy Tab 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update is finally being rolled out today even though it has been a lot of time since Google initially launched this software update.
Carrier delays do tend to play a part in when an update is released to end users, which is why Galaxy Tab 3 owners on T-Mobile have had to stick with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean for a considerable amount of time. Now things will change with KitKat because it brings some great new improvements for the tablet.
It also goes without saying that this isn’t the latest iteration of Android. Some high-end devices have already moved on to Android 5.0 Lollipop, which was unveiled earlier this year, and released for some supported devices a few weeks back. Android 5.0 Lollipop roll out is progressing gradually and only covers a handful of devices at this point in time.
The changelog provided by T-Mobile doesn’t go into all the details about what this update will bring, but rest assured, all of the features which are part and parcel of Android 4.4 KitKat are included in this update for the Galaxy Tab 3.
