That being said, the purple flare seem to show up mainly in photos taken in direct sunlight, which is why it is a little odd that for Sony Xperia Z3 owners, some of them are experiencing pink blotches in their photos, some of which are taken indoors. According to multiple reports, there are Xperia Z3 owners complaining of a pink blotch appearing in the photos that they have snapped.
Apparently the blotches appear when photographing uniform blocks of color, at least according to one user’s theory. So far Sony has offered some feedback to users telling them that they should adjust the white balance settings to help eliminate the blotches, which in some cases helps, but in some cases actually ruins the entire photo due to color inaccuracy.
It is unclear as to what exactly the problem could be here, whether it’s a hardware or software issue, but hopefully this is something that Sony could look into and hopefully release a patch for it in the near future. In the meantime any of our readers experiencing similar issues on their Xperia Z3 handsets?
