Whenever there is demand for a particular item with limited quantity in circulation, you can more or less be sure that there will be a corresponding increase in is price. Having said that, who would have thought that the Amiibo figurines from Nintendo might actually end up as a rather valuable commodity? I am not referring to the usual slew of Amiibo figurines that are all too common, but rather, one particular Samus Aran figure that experienced a manufacturing defect – so much so that it has managed to raise a whopping $2,500 after 75 bids on eBay.
Just what was this particular manufacturing defect that made it all the more valuable in the eyes of collectors? Apparently, this particular Samus Aran figure had not one, but two hand cannons in tow. Of course, it goes without saying that this particular Amiibo figurine would be worth a whole lot more while it remains in its box, and far less if you were to open it up and use it. Apart from the physical appearance looking a little bit more menacing, nothing else about this Amiibo figure would change the way it interacts with the Wii U. Needless to say, this might just be the tip of the iceberg, since there might not be anyone else out there who have realized that they are actually in possession of such a prized possession.
